Big Why: The most important key to your Home Based Business success is your big why. You must have a reason to start your Home Based Business that is bigger than yourself. It could be to quit your Job. It could be to spend more time with your family and help your children. It could be to start a Humane Society store. Your why is the most important because having a big why will automatically ensure that you have continued dedication, a never give up attitude, a positive attitude, and you will have the motivation to continue to learn. A big why will ensure that you continue to work, even during difficult times. A big WHY ensures that you DO NOT give up.

Mentor: The best way to succeed at anything is to find someone who knows how to do it and learn from them. Whenever I want to learn about something, I read as much as I can about it and I find the most experienced person I can find to lean from. This is exactly what I did when I started my Home Based Business.

You must have an outlook that will allow you to listen to your mentors and learn from them. Remember they have probably tried everything that you are already thinking. Do not go off on a different path than what your mentor is guiding you down. If you try something different, you should talk it over with your mentor.

Highly experienced people know things that you can not write down in a book.

A good example of this is my experience as a Space Shuttle Inspector. All of my classroom training did not prepare me for what it is like to work with people and make decisions about space flight hardware that could impact a mission and impact the safety of the crew.

Belief: Starting a home based business takes effort, but with a big why, a good mentor, and the belief that what your are doing does something good for this world, you can succeed.

If you are joining a work at home company, you must believe in the company that you are promoting.

Belief starts with the company. It is much easier to believe in a company that has a long track record and a solid reputation than believe in a start up. How do you gain belief in a home based business company? Get involved and learn about the company. Start using the company’s products. Learn what the company stands for. Is the company just about making lot of money? Does the company have a bigger reason for its existence? What is the company’s big why? The answers to those questions will help you choose a successful company.

Many people not only in network marketing, but in other businesses as well, use business cards, flyers, brochures, key chains, and all sorts of advertising tools to get their business name out there. You probably have used some of these methods as well.

It really works well! Let’s discover how this is done.

A “Top Ten” list is simply a list of reasons your network marketing prospects would be interested in your opportunity’s product or service. Here’s an example of an opportunity list.

1. You can tell your boss what you really think of him.
2. No more car bills.
3. You can wake up in the morning when your kids wake up.
4. You’ll always have money in your savings account. Plus, your retirement nest egg will continue to grow
5. Your paycheck will come to your mailbox every week.
6. You’ll never have to ask for a raise.
7. Fun conventions in Florida twice a year.
8. You are paid what you are worth, not what someone else decides you are worth.
9. You can take a vacation any time you want.
10. You’ll be involved in an awesome, exciting, high-paying career that you’ll enjoy instead boring work that only makes your company profits.

Here is an example of a product list.

2. Only costs twenty-five cents a day.

Now, this isn’t too hard right? If you make a really creative list, your prospects will me be apt to keep it instead of throwing it in the trash!
