Persistence Is The Key To Network Marketing Success

By Kevin Sinclair

Persistence can help you achieve great success in your business. Persistence may be the one underlying character trait in all successful entrepreneurs, business owners, self-employed, freelancers, and more. They all must have persistence. Without it, they might just give up when things do not go as they are planned or when there is a loss instead of a profit.

What is Persistence?

According to Dictionary.com, persistence is the act or fact of persisting, the quality of being persistent, continued existence or occurrence, and/or the continuance of an effect after its cause is removed.

This definition can easily be applied to any person, whether they have great persistence or just a little. The strange thing is that it seems that everyone has at least a little bit of persistence in them, and in training it can become greater. Just look at children and the way they behave. Children are extremely persistent in that they will try the same thing over and over again until they either accomplish their task or are suppressed by a parent.

For example, when a child is learning how to walk he or she will consistently try to stand every day. Eventually he or she will then take a few steps and fall. That fall never seems to phase them; they just keep on taking those steps until they can walk, then run, and finally jump. That is persistence in its purest form. The child just keeps getting up after falling and taking more steps until the task of walking is finally accomplished. Their persistence continues with learning how to run, jump, and then communicate, read, write, and so on.

This is just one example of persistence, and one that shows we all have persistence within us. Even if you feel that you are not persistent, you are, and you can become more persistent by creating worthwhile accomplishments and gaining confidence in yourself, your work and your life overall.

How persistence can lead to your MLM success?

Persistence is the one thing you need (not want) to have in order to become successful in your MLM business. It takes a lot of hard work, effort, and some failures to create a successful MLM business. The key is in continuing your efforts and learning from your mistakes. It can be difficult to analyze your failures, but it can mean the difference between success and not progressing as fast as you could. When you know what is working great and what is not, you can change it so you are more productive in your MLM business and earn more profits.

Keys steps to take to Become More Persistent

As stated before, you can become more persistent if you do not believe that you are. Also, your persistence (if you are a highly persistent person) might fade over time with your MLM business endeavors. This requires consistent check-ins and review of your progress to maintaining high persistency!

1. Create Goals: Your goals must always be realistic. When you accomplish even the smallest of goals write them down and cross them off of your list when complete. This will help feed your self-confidence and business confidence and show you that you can accomplish what you set out to, in turn increasing your persistency.

2. Maintain Your Goals: Keep your goals up to date, and don’t be afraid to revise them when necessary. Goal planning can sometimes take time to get used to and learn how to do effectively. If you need to revise a goal, do so with no guilt. These are your goals for your business.

3. Planning: Plan for successes as well as failures. Everyone falls before they learn to walk, and even then we fall from time to time. The important thing is to focus on what your successes are and why they are successful and keep doing that, as well as increasing this part of your work. The hard but necessary part is to examine your failures and find out why they didn’t work. This will help you stay focused on what is successful instead of wasting your time on work that doesn’t turn any profits or accomplishments.

Persistence is the one key nearly every successful entrepreneur holds. Without it, there would be no success because everyone would simply give up. You can become more persistent with the right effort, work, determination, and analysis, even if you are not known for being persistent.

Failing In Network Marketing Is NOT Your Fault

By Kevin Sinclair

Thousands of people use network marketing to build a home business. Unfortunately, it is well known that the failure rate in this business is over 90%.

There are many reasons for this, but the key one is that many network marketing companies do not have business models that support you as a distributor. As a result, the cards are stacked against you from the start.

Here are some compelling reasons why failing in network marketing is NOT your fault.

You know the story: you have done the training, did three-ways calls with prospects, purchased leads, attended the “rah rah” company events, etc. We could go on and on. The bottom line is that you STILL failed! You wonder, “What in the world is wrong with me? Why can’t I make it?”

The bottom line is you are failing because your network marketing company is not taking good care of you. It does not have a strong foundational model of integrity. None of this your fault!

Here is another point to consider. Have you ever noticed that some companies have huge multi-million home offices? You see this on many of the companies’ websites.

Have you ever thought about where the money comes from? In network marketing, money comes from the compensation plan. Companies don’t have multiple streams of income; they just have the compensation plan. Unfortunately, in spite of multi-million dollar home offices, the money does not come back to you in the compensation plan.

If this sounds bad, things go down hill even further. If a network marketing company has a huge home office, doesn’t it make sense that some sort of maintenance would be required? You know, things like a cleaning staff, upkeep for the grounds, electric bills, water bills, etc. How about workmen’s compensation, 401(k) s, vacation, sick, and family leaves? What about those bonuses and cost of living salaries? A company has to have this in place for its employees. Now, where is the money to fund all of this coming from? The compensation plan!

The sad truth is that you and other distributors will never use your network marketing company’s multi-million dollar building, BUT you still have to pay for it and the upkeep. That’s hardly fair at all.

Let’s give this further thought. With a company model such as we are discussing here, where do you think their model will go in the future? Will they have more or fewer expenses? If you yelled to yourself, “More Expenses!” you got it.

Here’s another thought. Have you ever wondered where your network marketing company’s warehouse is located? I’d dare say that most people haven’t even thought about this. Usually, most cities have places called warehouse districts with low costs and low rents. So, it makes good business sense to house company stock in these districts, right?

In reality, many times this does not happen. A number of companies have their warehouses right next to their home offices. Other than looking pretty impressive, it really is a total waste of money. Now, some companies have their businesses in warehouse districts, but many do not.

Are you beginning to see why you are failing in MLM, and how your network marketing company’s business model is the problem here? With huge overhead costs, which are funded by the compensation plan, there is little to pass on to you and other distributors. Now, there are some great network marketing companies out there that have very strong business models that support the distributor, but you have to really search them out.

So, here are some compelling reasons why you are not having success with your network marketing home business.
