What is hypnosis actually? According to Crystal Reference Encyclopedia it is “A temporary trance-like state induced by suggestion, in which a variety of phenomena (eg increased suggestibility and alterations in memory) can be induced in response to verbal or other stimuli. A hypnotic trance is not in any way related to sleep, but there is a constriction of responses by the hypnotized subject. As a treatment technique it is unreliable; spectacular achievements can be obtained in some patients, while for many total failure of benefit is recorded. It has been used as a technique for limiting addictive behaviour (eg cigarette smoking) and for relieving anxiety (eg wedding nerves). The technique was first used by Mesmer in France, and the term hypnosis was coined by the British surgeon James Braid (1795-1860).”

Hypnotic tapes let the conscious mind drift off and relax, while playing a repeated combination of words. Obviously, these tapes are best used while relaxing, as you should be able to fall asleep. The hypnosis tapes send a message to the unconscious mind which is then used by the brain after the tape is no longer playing. People use these tapes to give up smoking, and loose weight, or to generally improve themselves.

As people’s interest in using hypnosis and hypnosis tapes has grown, there has been a corresponding growth in small business opportunities. There are a number of places now on the internet that sell such tapes, and they do not seem to be struggling. The market is still open for people to start up a small business selling hypnosis tapes using the internet Because of the large number of tapes, and the great interest in these products, there may be small business opportunities with larger firms, or you may choose to go it alone with a wholesale supplier.

Either way, there is a lot of money to be made in selling hypnosis tapes via the internet, or through mail order.

Their joint venture partner also realizes greater profits as a result. Because of this position of leverage, megapreneurs easily find good joint venture partners.

How is leverage built? Well, there are three key components needed to build good leverage. All three are crucial.

They are; own your own product, own your own affiliate program and own your own list. These three combined form the basis of leverage. The reasons for having all of these will be discussed individually below.

- Own your own Product. It is very important to own your own product because it gives a decided advantage in the marketplace and more flexibility in negotiating joint ventures. Selling other people’s products may be a good way for a newbie to get his feet wet, so to speak, but it does not provide the leverage your own product will. And it is easier than you might think to create your own product.

- Own your own affiliate program. This might seem difficult to set up but it isn’t, really. You will need a way to pay your joint venture partners and this is the best way to accomplish that. An affiliate program allows you to leverage profits from the work of
others. Other advantages to owning your own affiliate program is getting free traffic, free sales and free list building. These are big reason why you should have your own affiliate program. It is too important a factor in building leverage to pass by. You will soon see its rewards.

- Own your own list. Try making much profit without one and you will soon be disillusioned. There is a mantra echoing all over the net- The money is in the list!
It is very true and cannot be said too often. If you want money, own a list. With a good
responsive list, you make the rules. The list will, again, provide free traffic, free sales, and result in the list growing by referral. If your list is viral, it can grow to a huge, responsive list.

These are the key factors in creating leverage. Don’t think that only one or two of them will be sufficient. It takes all three. You will be amazed at the difference it makes.
